Animal husbandry

What we do

FFAS Purchases piglets for needy members of our community to raise and resell for profit. Our volunteers feed the animals every day and ensure they are raised healthy and strong. Once the pigs reach a desirable weight, we sell them as meat to the local community, which provides income to both our volunteers and to FFAS for future projects.

The goal of this program is to not only provide work and monetary profit to members of our community who need it, but to work towards making FFAS self-sufficient and able to raise the money necessary to support our outreach projects without relying on outside assistance.

In the beginning

FFAS was struggling to find the funds to continue operating. While donations were greatly appreciated and put to good use, we had to find a way to become more self-sustaining, so that our programs could be funded regularly, and without the need for extra donations or outside assistance.

Support from local communities

We provide piglets to needy members of our community so they can help raise the pigs until they are large enough for sale to the local community as food, providing profits to both those who raise the pigs and FFAS to use for future projects.

The fruits of our labor

By providing piglets to community members to raise and sell, Feed For All Seasons both provides work for those who need it and lessens the impact of poverty and hunger in the area.

Every animal on earth, every bird in the sky, every animal that crawls on the ground, and every fish in the sea will respect and fear you. I have given them to you.
